Are you looking for an MP3 player but are confused on which one is best suited for you? With all the different names, colors, sizes, and features, it's hard to know what is right for you. Here are a few simple steps to help you decide which MP3 player is right for you.
1. The first thing you should consider is what do you want to do with your MP3 player. New MP3 players give you the option to load whole movies and picture albums onto them. If you are just planning on using the MP3 player for basic music there are still plenty of features to consider. You are now able to listen to live FM radio on your MP3 player and record songs straight to your hard drive! You are also able to record your own voice and such and save it to your hard drive as well. It is important that you decide what you want your MP3 player to do before you move onto anything else.
2. Once you decided what you want to do with your MP3 player you can now decide what size you want, by size I mean the memory on the MP3 player. MP3 players have anywhere from 1GB, 250 songs, to over 80GB, 20,000 songs. The common size is between 1GB and 20GB. If you are planning on just listening to music I would recommend the 1GB-20GB size. If you are planning on using the MP3 player for movies, songs, photos, etc., I would recommend the 20GB-80GB size.
3. After you have decided the features you want and the size you are interested in it just comes down to what brand do you want. The most popular MP3 player is easily the Apple iPod. There were over 46,432,000 iPods sold in 2006, or about 88 iPods sold each minute! Other names of brands that have MP3 players on the market are Creative Labs, Samsung, SanDisk, and Zune. I have heard good things about Creative Labs and, obviously, the Apple iPod.
