This year, I'm buying more and more of my Christmas presents on-line. Not only do I have the convenience of doing my shopping from my living room, I'm also saving money, time, and gaining piece of mind. Today, not only do many large on-line retailers offer free shipping and discounts, the on-line versions of your favorite stores do as well.
For me, the biggest benefit of shopping on-line rather than heading to the mall or any old brick and mortar store is the convenience. I can shop for anything, and I do mean anything, at any time. I can browse e-bay at 2 AM in my PJs when I can't sleep. There is no need to drive to the store, find a parking spot, search the store for the item, and then wait in a long line to check out. You simply need to go the website, search, buy or bid, and then check yourself out. A total of maybe 5 minutes is involved - if you know what you are looking for and how much you'd like to spend. Shopping on-line is not only convenient, it will save you a lot of hassle and stress this holiday season as well.
Not only will shopping on-line reduce the stress of the holiday season, it will save you money in a variety of ways as well. First off, you don't need to use gas to go to the store. All you need to do is hop on-line. Second, you normally can find the same sales on-line as you would in a retail store. If you happen to shop an auction site such as www.chinashopgate.com, you might end up with a huge bargain. I have yet to find a case in which an item was more expensive on-line than in a store; it is usually the other way around. Third, shipping normally adds cost to purchasing on-line; however, this time of year, sites such as Amazon.com and Kohls.com offer free shipping! If you do end up paying shipping costs, it is normally well worth it.
